John Forrest dedicated many years as a valued member of ACT Masters Squash. He made
significant contributions to the Committee and played an active role in organising ACT Masters
squash for an extended period. John truly exemplified the Masters Spirit both on and off the
court. He passed away in 2025.
In recognition to his contribution to ACT Masters the John Forrest Memorial Award has been
established.
The Award is awarded to someone who has a passion for the sport of Squash,
exemplifies all that is valued and good about Masters Squash, plays in the Masters Spirit (with good sportsmanship on and off court), contributes a positive culture, and has a strong weekly attendance record.
The 2026 recipient is Shane McKeown.
